Selv etter at Identity on the Line har blitt offisielt avsluttet, fortsetter prosjektet å høste internasjonale priser. Denne gangen prisen Heritage Audiovisuals Special Commendation 2023 for en dokumentar på 45 minutter, om prosjektet og dets delprosjekter!
Her er begrunnelsen fra juryen:
“The documentary »Identity on the Line« is an outstanding study of the effects of a relevant historical process that is nowadays stills on a political and social agenda: human migration. The topic is relevant for the European identities and sense of belonging that the documentary deeply explains. This special mention is a recognition for its humanistic approach to migrations that helps contemporary citizens to reflect about the issue. “

Om Identity on the Line (I-ON)
Vest-Agder-museet leder det internasjonale samarbeidsprosjektet «Identity on the Line» og jobber tett sammen med seks museer og ett universitet i Norge, Sverige, Danmark, Polen, Litauen, Slovenia og Kroatia i perioden 2019-2023. Prosjektet er støttet av Creative Europe, EUs program for kulturelt samarbeid.
«Identity on the Line» handler om langtidskonsekvensene av syv ulike migrasjonsprosesser – påtvungne eller frivillige – i Europa i løpet av de siste 100 årene. Museumsansatte fra alle deltagende institusjoner har intervjuet mennesker som ble berørt av disse prosessene og deres etterkommere. Det innsamlede materialet er brukt i separate utstillinger i de respektive landene og formidlet gjennom en felles vandreutstilling i Europa, publikasjoner, skoleopplegg og internasjonale workshops for museumsansatte. Produksjonen av filmene om I-ON er ledet av prosjektets polske partner i samarbeid med filmskaper Tomasz Giczewski. Les mer.
